Mono tub ready for fruiting?
    #25785408 -

Just wanting to know if my monotub is ready for fruiting or if it needs to colonize a little more. Also there was this yellowish liquid on top of the sub/spawn mix. Is that normal or something to worry about?

Everything appears to be fine. Give it some more time 2-4 days most likely.

The yellow liquid is metabolites, which is completely normal.

It is? You have no idea. Metabolites are caused from the stressed out myc, defending itself against invaders- bacteria. Sometime the tub can pull through marginally, sometimes it won't. It's not normal, it's a sign you have a bacterial infection. And no, you don't want it! And it's not normal for clean tubs. You might only get one flush, if that.

Use a a Ms syringe? How did you prepare your sub and spawn?  I would start preparing another tub.

Rockpop- impolite to hijack someone's thread, start your own.
