Psychedelics, awe experiences and personality research survey
    #25757711 - 01/21/19 01:42 AM (5 years, 2 months ago)

Hallo!

I’m an MSc student in Psychology at Coventry University and I need your help.

I’m conducting an anonymous, web-based survey in order to examine relations between the use of certain psychedelic drugs and certain aspects of personality.

Whether or not you’ve taken psychedelics, it would be great if you could take part – for the survey to work well, we need people with a variety of drug use histories, as well as people who’ve never taken any.

You’ll need to be at least 18 years old and have a good understanding of the English language to participate.

The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. It involves answering questions about your history of use of several drugs (not just psychedelics) and questions about your personality and experiences. The link below will provide you with more information about this before you begin answering the questions.

If you’re interested, please click on the link below to find out more and, should you decide to, to carry on to the survey. Many thanks!

I gladly took your survey. At the end, I chose not to save my answers, because I thought it meant save them for myself, but it said they were deleted from your server. Does that mean REALLY deleted so you can't even use my answers? I'll take it again, if that's the case.

I'm in no way involved in the administration of this survey, but I believe that this just means that this was your last chance to withdraw from the survey. If you had saved your answers they would have been anonymised so they couldn't have been traceable to you. I'm not sure if you can take it again because having completed it already you would know what they are testing for and that might bias your answers next time around. You could try, but I think they might have catalogued your IP address and not allow you to take it again.

Hallo,

Thanks for your post and taking part in the survey, and many apologies for my late response.

Unfortunately if you choose not to save the answers, that does indeed mean that your responses were deleted. Apologies that this wasn't clear.

Thanks! I will indeed post the results.

For the people who have said they will share this with friends, thanks! On that note, in addition to people who have used psychedelics, at the moment we are actually also looking for quite a few more participants who have had significant experiences of awe without doing psychedelics. If you know anyone who you think is unlikely to have used psychedelics in the past five years and might be interested in taking the survey, it would be particularly great if you could let them know about it!

Thanks again.

Talk to Bill Miller. He wrote "Quantum change" examining the exact same thing.

I'll post results here when the project is finished. That will be some time though, the survey is still underway at the moment, and after that it will take some time to analyse the results and write them up. Watch this space!

Thanks for your interest.
