VENT YOUR PC! - The influence of the air-content inside a Pressure Cooker on sterilizing-times 5

This is WIP, read last post if you want to know what's going on
For now i will just show the resulting diagram. The goal is to go over all calculations done to produce the diagram and be as much transparent as possible.
The diagram of the resulting sterilization times depending on the pressure and steam-quality (the more air, the less steam. More air means a low steam quality)

Cool graphs.
I put a max registration thermometer in a cooker with absolutely no venting and the results were pretty different than when venting.

I can upload a picture of the table containing the resulting temperatures if you want.
Edit:
Here you go: ( this imperial system kills me slowly )

would be nice to know how long it takes to reach about 5% air-content max inside a Presto 23qt

Beats me but 10m venting my thermometer registered 250 or a little above after a 15m run at pressure.
With no venting at all it got a couple degrees over 212

I just did a "just-for-fun" calculation with 50% air inside at 15 psi. It results in 212,54 fahrenheit. Crazy temp-drop.

Hopefully it helps people to understand why to vent a PC.
Bod did an awesome job to get me interested in the topic.

yeah, i used to get contams even with a PC cooking for 90 minutes. still got trich in like 1 of 5 jars or so. tried the venting thing and not a single one of 10 got trich (until i opened them a month later for a couple )
small sample size to be sure, but it convinced me to be patient and vent.

It has one valve that's open when you start it. After all the air is out it shuts automatically and let's the other valve build the pressure. Works pretty well. Fissler vivavit Royal if you wanna look it up. Unfortunately it's only 8L

Oh bro, these dont work.
First they say it exactly in their manual that these pressure cookers are not made for sterilization because the temp wont get that high ( 3rd site in manual, point 2 )
The next thing is, on the bottom-side of the PC you can read the maximum absolute pressure this PC is made for which is in most cases 150kpa or 1,5 bar or 21,7557 psi. This is absolute, you have to subtract your current air-pressure from your altitude which is about 1,01325 bar. This results in your pressure inside the PC wont go over 5 bar, which is not even close to 121Β°C.
EDIT: The pressure was not for absolute pressure, it was for internal pressure of the PC. So it will work but on a risky way

It has no idea the air is out. You need to actually vent it. That's just the safety valve that pops and i would be willing to bet long before all air is out

That's not venting. That happens when it comes to 1 PSI. Every PC has this.
