Okay so I finally see mushrooms. It's a joyous day for me. I actually did it. !!!!!

So surprisingly it's not my first tub I started. It's the second monotub of b+. It was kept At 75 degrees with some light almost 24 hrs a day. With micropore tape over all the holes. I wasn't expecting them to fruit. It doesn't look 100% colonized. But it smells great and I count at least 20 pins and three larger mushrooms.

My other monotub smells kinda musty and has some colors. But it's had good FAE sense 1/27. Still no pins.


So first harvest will be coming up. Sense it's multispore it's obvious my flush will be very uneven. Do I pick these early mushrooms? Or wait to do it all and possibly loose them to over ripeness?

Next, Amazon...You can get 500 pre-sterile (sleeves of 20) for around 80 bucks.  That will get you places.  If you have cash, get a real media bottle because the no drip ring is literally priceless during pours in the SAB, but the poor man's solution works well and is small.
As to your agar method...you can cut the agar agar in half for softer agar which works great with prints.  PC for 15 minutes and 15psi.  It is liquid, not brf, so any contams are killed quickly.  I would guess your sentiment is crystallized sugars or knotted up proteins from prolonged heat, not poor mixing.  I swirl everything at room temp then PC for 15 at 15, after venting steam first for, yep, you guessed it, 15:)
I do 7g PDA to 400mL water and 100mL grain water from prepping grains for quart jars.  Works outstanding.

Pick those ones some time after the veil breaks and before they drop spores. (Right around when the caps are completely flat)
