jw... for growin shroomz... anyone know what in hell "coir" is??? i always see "coir/verm casing" and never know what coir is!!!

Coconut fibre, usually purchased in a compressed block. The compressed block is immeresed in water, whereapon it expands and can be used as a casing material.

It's sold as a reptile bedding material, checkout pet shops. It's sold under names such as "Eco Earth". It looks like a small brown brick. Alternatively, purchase from an online vendor such as Mycosupply: check out this link

bed a beast at petco is like $4.00 a brick and is easier to find

The hydro stuff is harder to find but then again it's 2.50 for a brick that is three times the size of the petstore ones. The other stuff in the post is 9.00 for 3 bricks and is on the shelf next to the bed a beast at petco.
