Short and sweet 12g rue experience. First post this year.

I had a couple true experiences and they  were disgustingly amazing. Simply rue, nothing else. Maybe some alcohol. Two attempts at 3g just to see what it would do. The next day I took 12g, crushed in a tea. Biggest mistake of my life that I will never regret. It was the most abysmal, dark, fear wrenching place I have likely ever been. (I'm pretty extreme, all or nothing kind of guy. Hence the dose.) Rue took me to a place of absolute self loathing with a pitch black, electric field over my entire field of vision that was pulsing in and out. The tracers we SO FUCKING INTENSE and lasted for what felt like hours. I in fact know they were there for minutes.  I tried closing my eyes eyes in hopes of an escape...  anyways, after the initial purge and I realized I wasn't going for an actual trip,  and literally just fucked the rest of my night, I put on my favorite album, lay myself down and had some immensely unpleasant yet necessary self revelations. Plants are amazing. Thank the lord for this life

Commented on someone's post with this and I figured I would share. Really didn't feel like going into too much detail so I didn't. Nevertheless it was a difficult night which I really would not recommend to anyone faint of heart. I would surely delve into a high dose of rue like that myself, but i tend to say fuck it and charge straight into the abyss. There is no other way. My last mushroom binge was incredible. 6 grams of tea followed by 18 grams of dried and potently wonderful cubes however I saw fit. It was an incredible 24 hours around the sun... haven't taken shrooms for almost 4 months and I sure do miss em. However, as you could assume I outdid myself. They are still calling to me, perhaps just not yet. I need to start growing. Once I put that effort in I think I will be allowed to enjoy them again... what a beautiful life we have... sorry for the tipsy rant yo.

I should add that those two experiences had nothing to do with each other. I have some crazy ass trip reports for you guys... gotta sit down one day and really bring em to light..

Glad it worked out for you, I think that I'll stay away from rue though. Just doesn't seem worth it for my needs

Can you give us a bit more details on the effects?
I was looking at buying some the other night to go in herbal joints to put some extra in my trips an maybe see a being something im unable to do on just shrooms.

Works better than Caapi imo. Plus you can do a lot with it, even clean up how it feels or mix things with it to add to it or alter it in some way, even take it regularly for awhile and do away with the side-effects. It's cheap, it's potent, and it gets the job done, i will always choose Rue over Caapi.

  I can give you my experience of the effects and each dose level. Well, entry level and "I would not recommend" dosages amyways.

~3grams was borderline feeling like a weak amphetamine.  Shorts bursts of energy, general good mood and positive thoughts. Effects seems to last for about 2 or 3 hours. I continued to dose this a couple times over the first day and felt great. Sort of like a clean weed hog at times with lots of energy.

At 12 grams the onset is very surprising. I literally felt like I was going to die. The purge was so intense and lasted for over an hour. The entire time I was being dragged into this ever darkening atmosphere of electric static covering everything in pulsing waves. From every doorframe and bookshelf to the bathroom vanity. Pulsing in and out of reality to this dark ,static electric place. I eventually made my way to the bed which was hellish in it's own comfort because there was  no escape. Tracers lasted for so long I wished I could have gotten rid of them. As I lay in bed I started to feel like I was being sucked away from my body in the most unpleasant, dark and extremely invasive manner.

I recommend rue to anyone willing to try another wonderful plant medicine. However, proceed with caution. It is a POWERFUL little bigger. Hope this helps. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. Obviously my experience is limited but i feel like the internet provides very little accurate information about this specific plant.

I will add that there is a certain headspace that you take on while under the effects of rue. It is hard to describe and I can't tell you how much of a dose is required to get there. I can say that at 3 grams there wasn't much change in mental space. At 12 grams, however, it is a very different place than you are used to. I can't very accurately describe it as I WAS NOT ready for this experience and I only went there one time. Definitely want to try rue with mushrooms but I am on a little break from just about everything.

I can't stomach rue anymore.  It just tastes so disgusting.  I'm talking San Pedro tea disgusting.  I don't care how good the trip is.

Try roasting the whole Rue seed in the oven at 350 degrees f for like 15 to 19 minutes. Then grind up the seed in a coffee grinder and sift out any unground seeds or nuts and try grinding them up as finely as possible. The roasted seed powder smells better than the raw seed, and seems a bit gentler on the gut than the raw seed, ime. But yeah, i encapsulate the Rue seed powder, or i use freebased full spectrum Rue or purified Harmala extract in a capsule.

Yeah, try to extract the harmalas. It's pretty easy.

Sabnock once encouraged me to do so, and I had staggering results. Just look at the link in my signature.

Shiny golden needle -crystals (HCl). Or white powder (freebase).
Just encapsulate those crystals and swallow. No taste, no nausea, & easy measuring and dosing.

200mg of this (one small capsule) is enough to fully inhibit MAO.

That roasted rue mention makes me wonder if my coffee from hell comment is true than I thought. The stuff really does remind me of coffee smell, the less pleasant parts. Wonder if we should try drinking the brew with sugar and cream.  :lol:

Rue is definitely nothing to fuck with. I've done it many many times and I've had a few bad ones when I took high doses. I'm talking about just the rue, no shrooms afterwards.
