Good idea to sit cakes in SGFC in lids filled with water vs. on foil?
    #25740439 -

Would this help them soak up lots of water to get big and strong? Or will the still water cause an issue? It seems to pool anyways under the cakes.

I mist them and wet all the sides of the FC and make sure water touches all around the cake any other tips?

Don't intentionally get them wet.  That's what I learned.  Dunking is fine.  Otherwise they can get bacterial.  They need to exhale C02.

Mist the sides.  I even put water with the perlite.  Not sure if folks do that still.  It was early y2k.  I think 02.

Attraction.  I mostly grew cactus.  I grew even weed as well.  I would grow anything if easily and cheaply done, without temptation other than cannabis.  I enjoy gardening.

There is a number of similar.  Peyote is a different class yet similar.  Just legally I never have grown peyote.

San pedro is nice.  There are different cultivatars and cuttings.  Much to be explored in breeding.  They were just nice to have around.  Hardy, looked good, good luck.

You shouldn’t bottom water a cake until the pinset is in and then only if it looks like a dense pinset or looks like the fruits could get huge. You don’t sit a freshly birthed cake in water, that’s going to cause problems.

This is wrong. Definitely mist the cakes if they are dry and fruits love being rained on. Don’t let them sit wet, your chamber needs to have fresh air moving so the water doesn’t stagnate on them. It’s a cycle of getting wet and evaporation off, evaporation is also a major pinning trigger. Misting the sides is pointless, plastic isn’t 90% water. Plastic isn’t trying to grow.

If they are wet do not mist. If they are dry mist. Those are the parameters to follow provided you’re fruiting in a proper chamber.
