So I harvested the 3 small containers this morning. Total came out to 363g wet. My biggest container has way more than these did so this was a huge success.
Thanks mushboy. Shoe boxes are definitely better than cakes by a land slide.

I ate vermiculite, I suppose if that didn't kill me then coconut husk wouldn't lmao.
I guess I might as well try for a 2nd flush. I have tons of more jars about to be made but I would like to at least see if I can get a 2nd flush. I'm really stoked about my big container because it had more cakes in them than these 3.
Currently I'm stressing about dehydrating all of these. I had to use 3 racks and push them down for them to all fit. My anxiety is out of this world waiting for this damn thing to catch on fire or something.

Wait till your dehydrator lids won't fully close because you filled them way over capacity out of necessity. Those lids end up shutting sooner or later even with a brick on the lid for added weight

Yeah the bottom rack wouldn't close all the way so I had to use the other racks to hold it down.

Rot, why not store some in a paper bag in ur fridge overnight? So ur dehydrator isn't so packed. Just an idea to relieve some of ur anxiety. I don't think it'll catch on fire tho...

I'm not that worried about it. After about an hour or 2 in there they will shrink and everything will be well. I'm still amazed how I got about 5x more yield from spawning my cakes to nothing but wet coir. My coir wasn't even in brick form it came in a big fluffy bag.

One of my chitwan clone shoeboxes spawned on 12/18 hoping for a lot of pins any day now

Another with some side pinning

Are these looking okay? Or does the lack of pins this long indicate somethings afoul?
Thanks for any input

Killin it Licky! Good work!
Also, same Rot! Good job with them hauls. I say go for a second flush, shoeboxes flush in about 8-10 days turn around I find, and they're still at about 70%-ish weight from the first flush. Things get weird after that. I am keeping my PE6 going and just harvested flush 4... but it was only like 6 mushrooms... but they all weighed 20g-25g wet each!

Damn, your trays are DEEEEP, I have to ... fold my mushrooms down (basically lay the cap flat and it kinda breaks half off the stem). What brand do you got? I hate breaking my shrooms!

Looks like u need better lighting for 1. For 2, better surface conditions. Maybe less fae? Not sure what ur setup is.

The length of those skinny side pins almost says too little FAE to me, but that doesn't even seem possible in a shoebox.

the lids are flipped on the tubs, and now at a slight angle for more open gaps, when you say better surface conditions, can you point out what you see off? Im not defending the tub, but want to better my eye as well thanks
I should note that the tubs are in a portable closet with the breathable fabric, not ever sealed up or anything, with an overhead fan in the room on low most of the day.

I've found that flipped lids will lead to all kinds of issues with shoeboxes unless you have them like that because it got too wet somehow, and then it should really only be temporary.
What is your lighting setup? Do you have something on 12/12 settings? (12 hours on, 12 off).
I'm not sure what this portable closet thing is, but it should be a problem if it gets enough light. When you say overhead fan, you mean a ceiling fan? I'm not sure how that would effect things that are in a closet, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Got any pics?

Huh, interesting! I've not seen a whole lot of cases of too little light. It's far less common than seeing too little fae. Yeah, sounds like light is the main culprit here.
