I need help with identifying these pretty shrooms!

I need help identifying mushrooms that were growning in the mulch in the shade, in my front yard yard. There aren't really any trees where they are growing, only rhodedendrons. The area they are growing is a flower bed that I had used a combination of mushroom compost, cow manure, and top soil. I live near Atlanta,Ga. The mushrooms have a brownish purple bruising, almost black. I made an attempt to stamp but I don't think that I did a very good job. The mushrooms have a really nice, fruity smell. Hopefully I have given enough information to get some help. Thanks!

Looks like dried out Omphalotus olearius to my untrained eye and it is known to seduce with it's fine looks and smell. But wait till someone more experienced shows up.

Hey sorry to bogart the thread but im retarded with technology and i believe i have a mishap as well. I have aquired some dried specimens from a buddy in eastern europe believed to be psilocybe serbica var arcana. Problem is there is no way to accurately examine this species due to it being dry, but they appear to have the makings of a wood loving psilo, determine by dark ass spores trapped in gills and the hygrophanous caps, as well as fluching from dead wood. What do you guys think poison, or active? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Wow. Your reputation sure as hell percedes you AR. As to my understanding there is only the bare minimum of info on this species available anywhere on the web, unless you speak czech then there is access to a countable amount of articles available. May i ask what really gives it away that these are p serbica to your trained eye? Though i trust you completely,im curious to what really sold it for a solid mycologist like yourself.

I am very familiar with dried Psilocybe aztecorum, which is phylogenetically very similar to P. serbica.
