Does shaking jars at 20% colonization make it likelier for them to get contaminated?

Are you shaking grain, or BRF? Some details will help narrow down a more correct answer for you as some people may assume you mean 1 thing or another and simply say "yes" or "no" based on that.
Edit: Seems more like a contam forum question though.

doing a shake on grain jars is how you can tell its NOT contaminated.
you dont shake pf jars. contamination causes contamination. it doesnt spontaneously generate inside jars. it has to be introduced.

If the contams are not present in the jar before the shake, they will not magically appear after.
Flies donβt come from dead meat. Rats donβt come from hay.
If you do have contams present, like say in the center of a grain jar where you canβt see them, they will just become visible. Shaking the jar wonβt introduce them.

Contaminants getting in your jar is how contamination happens. Unless your jars have bad lids shaking doesn't introduce contamination

how is shaking a diagnostic tool? is it just that contams that were hidden inside the jar are revealed by shaking?

healthy, clean myc will recover from the shake quickly and continue to colonize without much delay(24-36hr). if you have shit inside your jars or in your cultures it will hamper the myc ability to recover.

Thanks for the input all, I noticed there was some trich in my jars after shaking, but it may very well have been hidden there all along or not yet sporulated.

It seems like a reasonable question. At least, it also occurred to me After i shook the jars, I thought that If contaminants entered through the inoculation-holes in the lid they might settle on and be filtered by the top layer of dry vemiculite, and then get dispersed by the shaking. It sounds kind of unlikely but who knows. It's my second time doing this.
