There's a good chance the article cherry picks a few positive effects. Two of the authors work for Philips, which happens to be the producer of the lighting equipment used.

It's pretty transparent; they conduct and publish this kind of research as it evidently elps to market their products. Check their website on blue-light therapy: "scientifically proven to be effective". That's what it's for. It doesn't necessarily change anything about the validity of the outcomes of course.

It only has about 3% the power of the Philips device used in the article. There's no reason to assume that the consumer-grade product does anything at all in terms of the benefits outlined in the article.
