But I'd really like to know why you ate them before having them identified. Please don't repeat.

thanks everyone for your say on that

well why I try theme ?

I think that was a risky of me, no doubts about that but,
I was almost sure I had a good sort,I did reaserch a fair bit, I compared descriptions and photos that I found on the net,
I did some experimentation on them that is bruising, spore sample and so on ...
the material was collected from the wild ,maching habitat description, time of the year was correct as well

the only remaining question was,the precise name of the mushrooms that I collected from pine plantation
honestly saying, I would not risk my health for a such reason as trying out something that may turn really bad on me
I do realize that some of mushrooms are very toxic and deadly
I have only one liver and par of kidneys I guess

again thanks for everyone responding to my post

Happy Hunting !!!
Theodore

Well I don't care what people believe or not. I found all those mushrooms on my cousins horse and cow farm. He also told me that he himself has found other mushrooms during the summer but I have yet to have seen those so I can't say. When I get my pictures back I'll show you what grew. This place is way far away from civilization as well. I am unsure whether or not that has an effect on anything but it was once a sheep farm and now it houses cattle and horses. I found pan subbs in overabundance I found several cubenis and suprizingly enough i found two of what appeared to be morels. My cousins friend then identified them as morels for me. He was quite and interesting fellow and since he is in agriculture I have complete faith in him. The fact that the shrooms all fucked me up also gives me confidence. If you don't believe me that's fine I was just trying to let people know that amazing things are taking place in certain parts of West V. so maybe you should check it out first and be skeptical later. :gd_icon: :whoa: :bong:   :tongue2:

NikolaiMcGreggor,

Theodore is talking about Psilocybe subaeruginosa in Australia. Not Panaeolus subbalteatus. And he is not talking about shrooms in West Virgina but down under 13,000 miles away or more.

Hay everyone

thanks to all of you who replied to my post

finally I got what I waited for, that is proper name of my mushrooms I
picked up last winter
                      Psilocybe subaeruginosa  !!!!

thanks Mjshroomer for expertize and help  !!!

rep. to Jimbu :

I don't know  where you hunt in pine plantations around Oberon area but,
last year I found tones of those Psilocybe subaeruginosa, I think in
early June
I went only ones down there,it took me a short while to search for a good grounds
interesting  was that indentifying a good spot by careful observation that is, pattern in forest carpet, ground depressions, patches of wood chips end wooden derbies and so on,
then  indentifying another potential great spot from a distance

the only difficulty I had was that, most of mushrooms were bit dry and in turn looked floppy specially large ones, but still small ones looked exactly like those on the photos I took with me
ones I got back home I spryed mushrooms with water so I could compare theme with photos again just to be on the safe side !!
well, definitively I'll be hunting the same location this year
its so relaxing and fruitful  down there !!!

Happy  Hunting Everyone !!!

Theodore

Those gold/brown looking shrooms you have, I've had before, I found them in QLD and NSW. They are not psychoactive if they're the same ones I got, whcih it looks like they are.

teen - the mushrooms in the photos above ARE psychoactive, they are p. subaeruginosa.

theodore - most of my success in the blue mountains came from woodchip beds in suburban areas. i did do some hunting in pine plantations in the weeks prior to being successful, and perhaps the reason i wasn't successful was that the season had not quite begun yet! i'm quite sure the ones i found were the first of the season
