i'm more curious as to where the pub is.  they may bash us, but we're the ones who go to sleep at 12-2am on a party nite and are still up at 6-7am being responsible

I didn't move yet.

I live at my house now. Bout 8 acres, but I'm surrounded by large tracts of woods, so I have no neighbors. Well water.

I'm scouting out acreage in Kentucky and West Virginia.

Why do you ask?

Growing up my grandparents and some other family lived in West Va so I’ve been through parts hunting and hanging out etc.  My brother went to WVU and I visited him a few times.

I guess to answer your question I’ve been out into the mountains pretty deep but not close to covering the whole state, I probably know like 15% really well. 

Well, pretty well I guess.  I might do a few U turns but I’ll get to point B if you know what I am saying.

dunno why, but i was under the impression you had made the move already.  i gotta say, as shitty as WV is environmentally and socially, there are some awesome little mountain towns.  Thomas, WV not too far from Blackwater Falls Park is an amazing area with good folk.

Privacy is a big deal for me. I like Hicks too.

And I would rather live in a trash trailer on a large amount of land than pay taxes on a pretty house.

A trailer in the woods and a part time job is my end game.

Thomas's main drag might be a mile long at the most, wrapping uphill and back across.  It's built on/into a hillside.  The population is under 600.


i feel ya man.  nothing wrong with a trailer so long as you have ample water, heat, and it is tight/rodent proofed.  i'm pretty much over home-ownership, though i'd still like to build my own place someday (either self-milled frame tiny-house or a small log-/or notched-pole cabin
