He's one of the artists who took the abuse on the chin and tried to make a real difference by conforming....took massive guts.lol.

The "Beds are burning" was about Aboriginal rights.
They were very politically motivated.

Didn't you have some dude from a reality show become something...I cant quite remember.

Nah I think he’s cool. I love that album. It’s just funny thinking that guy who admittedly looks kinda crazy became a high ranking official in the Australian government

This guy became a congressman.

I was skiing at Heavenly the day he died when he skied into a tree. Congressman Sonny Bono, who first stepped into the spotlight as half of the singing duo Sonny and Cher, was killed Monday in a skiing accident, authorities said early Tuesday. He was 62.

Ironically, I had seen him weeks earlier in DC walking down the street.

Congresswoman Jackie Speier is a Jonestown survivor.

Its all good, though you found a button I didn't know I had...

IMO those who operate at the extremities, whilst neccesary, don't achieve real change.

He and his band had made a living, a name and a persona based on appealing to the left (hand goes up).

He then quite knowingly threw all that away to enter into the very thing they had rebelled against, because he wanted to effect real change.
Instantly lost him a lot of his supporters but he went up in my books.

Been getting lots of rain down here and snow up there,  hopefully some great ski time this week, although last week was pretty fun.  Really hoping to have a new job and take some lsd to celebrate.

Had dinner at the best steakhouse in town a few days ago.



Steakpieces in a hot mexican sauce with mushrooms, beans, corn, paprika and onions, served with chipped potatoes, a mixed salad, and an extra portion roasted mushrooms.
