Low dose of pharmahuasca

Hello
I have already taken ayahuasca in a professional environment and two times pharmahuasca 2 years ago. The last time I had a bad trip with pharmahuasca. So I want to start with a small dose. what do you think when I take 1g rue and 10mg dmt to me?
or 1.5 rue and 15 dmt?

The dose of rue is not really customizable.

You have to take a certain ammount of rue to get MAO fully inhibited.
Take too little and the dmt will not work at all.
Too much of rue and the experience gets uncomfortable, due to the negative sideeffects caused by high doses of rue.

Stick with a proper dose of rue to inhibit mao, then customize /adjust the dose of dmt.
The more dmt you take, the more intense the experience will be.
Rue is only to activate the dmt. The ammount of dmt you want to take is up to you, but the rue dose is equal each time.

Usually, 180 to 200mg of pure harmala alkaloids is enough to fully inhibit mao.
Rue has about 3 to 6 percent alkaloids. That's 30 to 60 mg of alkaloids per gram. Do the math youself.
You have to take at least 2.5 to 3 grams of rue to fully inhibit mao /activate dmt. With 1.5g of rue you won't feel much even from a high dose of dmt.

With dmt, 20 to 30 mg should be enough for a mild experience. For me, that's as intense as 3 to 4 g of shrooms already.
Many people need a bit more of dmt to get those effects, though. I seem to be pretty sensitive to oral dmt..

They have examined ayahuasca a few dacedes ago and found out the average ammount of dmt in one cup of ayahuasca is like 35mg.
Those "jungle peoples" use to drink several cups throughout the session, to keep the experience going for several hours.

Start with 20mg and work your way up. You can trip everyday if you want, so you can take a bigger dose the next day /attempt.
80mg of dmt should floor anyone if mao is fully inhibited.

hey thank you for the answer.
in changa is also very little mao inhibitor but it still has a small effect.
My problem is the fear.
I have had a breaktruth experience on original ayhauasca recipe. It was very healing and changed me to the positive no terrible experience. but I also got to know the other side with rue it seems suddenly and you feel like a victim. original ayahuasca recipe was gentler. so I'm afraid of rue. I can not get caapi. Do you have some tips for me?

Changa is a smoke. When smoked, harmalas /maois are like 10x more potent as when swallowed.

There is mao everywhere in our body. In our brain, in our gut, Almost everywhere.
When you smoke changa, the harmalas bypass the blood-brain-barrier and act immediately in the brain. That's why they are more potent. Usually, 15 to 20mg of harmalas is enough for full effects when smoked.
Same with dmt. If you smoke it, it reaches our brain immediately.

When swallowed, the harmalas inhibit the mao in our gut /stomache first, then work their way up to our brain. 200mg of harmalas is a proper dose to fully inhibit gut-mao.

When dmt is swalloed without a maoi, then it's been broken down by mao in our gut, and so has no chance to reach our brain.
Therefore we have to swallow the maoi when we want to swallow dmt..

It's not possible to smoke harmalas and then swallow dmt. It doesn't get active this way. Smoked, the harmalas only potentiate the alkaloids that are already in the brain.


Do you still have your previous ayahuasca recepies?
If you could write down what ingredients in which ammounts you used, then we could get an idea of how much you took. :thumbup:

no i have drank it in a retreat center.
but when i had the bad trip i drank about 3g boiled rue. and then about 40 mg dmt smoked.
It may be that the 40 mg dmt worked much more intense because I smoked it.

Well yeah 40mg vaped is gonna rock you harder than if you ate it.  I think that’s what you mean.

Anyways get fully inhibited and eat 30mg dmt for a threshold (this is common consensus, this could be too strong or weak for you but you shouldn’t freak out.)  Adjust from there as you see fit.  Learn to extract rue also.  The tao of rue extraction on the nexus is as easy as it gets.

okay thanks for your help. I will try either caapi or rue extract with 60 mg dmt. that would make about 3 g of mimosa. 1 mg mimosa equal to 20 mg dmt.
At Caapi, I appreciate that the effect is slow and you have time to let the matter take effect. at rue, the effects come suddenly. is that the same with harmala?
