I'm just gonna piece my next one together with prefinished wood. More expensive but saves a lot of time and my flowhood would be kinda pretty.

Just about everyone I talk too that has a flow hood says it's worth the investment. Even if u do buy new parts and make it yourself. I followed stros build too. Super easy. I omitted the box that houses the blower and prefilter because of weight and I'm lazy. Lol. And I just stick some prefilter material over the intake of the blower.

It feels like you're cheating. I can't describe how freeing it is to do tasks in open air and actually be able to see what you're doing.

It's almost like how the hell did I ever work in a sab. I can g2g just fine in a sab but culture work with 100mm plates. Forget it. I loose half my work just from pouring the plates. My hats off to ppl like Bod, Mushboy, Josex, etc that still pour plates in a sab.

I pour my plates in a tiny sab lol. Still haven’t invested in any parts for a flow hood. If I get enough money come tax time that’ll probably be on the top of my list. Trying to save for a new place though..
Guess if a sab is all you know, you can make it work. A flow hood would be boss though!

I decided to spawn the KS jars I was going to throw out. Put about 5.5 qrts in a 32L tub, a couple didn't smell 100% so left them out.

Those look nice Crispykoot!
I was wondering what kind of monotub set up you use. I have ten jars ready to spawn, and sub prepped, just need a monotub design. All my shoeboxes are taking up the table space.
I’ve tried BOD’s easy af monotub tek and it worked. I want to make holes this time around and stuff them with poly. A link on a easy design would be great.
I have a drill, but no hole cutters of that size in your pics. What’s another way to create the exact hole size?

That's a 66qt sterilite with 2" holes. I use a hole saw and a block of wood to drill them. You can also use a can heated with a blowtorch to melt holes. My hole size is bigger than standard because it was easy to drill. I don't have a link but somebody will. Sorry. Best luck to you!

Thank you man. I’ll look around and see what I can find. Just thought I’d ask one of the pros first. Going to hit up the store later, so I’ll make a mental list of things I need.

Just draw out the circle you want, heat a piece of scrap metal and melt through it. No need to buy another tool if you don't already have it.
