One had a previous experience with a species not considered psychedelic, while at age 15, circa 1984. Two double handfuls ingested of Ipomoea purpurea resulting in three hours of intense deathlike nausea and continual vomiting. As nausea gradually faded, intense psychedelic experience lasting some 17 hours, including time spent asleep.
Currently following a more moderate and purposeful usage-- Ipomoea tricolor, "Heavenly Blues" being the source material.
On reading that unripe torbina corymbosa seeds contained LSH, found many suggestions and reports confirming the presence of LSH in unripe "Heavenly Blue" seeds. Failed for two years at trying to grow and harvest this very easy to grow vine, largely due to housing circumstances.
Currently determined to establish a baseline to compare with future experimentation. "Heavenly Blues" and other tricolor varieties are considered to have the best alkaloid profile in terms of avoiding nausea and other unpleasant (and dangerous!) ergot-like effects.
Previous experience 1 week ago from macerating seeds with hammer and swallowing them whole, some 60, for a threshold to low effect.
Purchased from ethical ethnobotanical supplier-- zero probability that these seeds were deliberately poisoned. Parallel experiment-- gave some to estranged wife with instructions to microdose (ten seeds) for migraine headaches.
Effects pleasant. Sensation in pit of stomach reminiscent of nausea, but also reminiscent of "rolling" on MDMA.
Mild, but lasting euphoria and slight alteration of perception and cognition.
Today 100 seeds, macerated with hammer, soaked in darkness in cold distilled water for 2-1/2 hours. Hoping for a stronger baseline effect.
Agenda-- sprout hypothesis.
Sources claim all parts of the plant contain lysergic amides. Sources also claim that the phytochemistry of Ipomoea Tricolor and other species are due to mycorrhizal presence of an organism not unlike claviceps purpuria, if not the same fungus.
Until a specimen can be grown this summer, it may be an interesting experiment to see if there is any subjective difference between dried seeds and seeds that have been successfully sprouted before preparation.
Will report back on today's baseline as well as further subjective bioassays.

much more of a thresh-hold experience. Cold water may be less side effects, but seems much weaker. Overall one thinks it will be wise to test sprout hypothesis at this low level.
