Sankaku said: nice growingmycelium. ive had good luck with MS in my limited experiences as well.
Since I'm about to have about 20 MS bags in total I've been thinking about doing a small grow along with them. I feel like Multi spore has an odd or bad rap based on anecdotal experience or the bias of cultivators that use them. I move a lot so I restart a bunch. My SAB work isnt great but it isnt bad. From my anecdotal exp, I have 90% success rate but I use one source and I have my methods obviously. I would love to See MS get some more love. I even get 4 to 6 oz a full few flushes from these when I spawn to bulk with very little Contam. I know mush cult doesnt need another noob grow along but meh. MS is more then I think people crack it up to be. I know I could of used a lets give these syringes a go and you dont have to just start with cakes tek!
( still glad I started with cakes and Agar though and obviously MS isnt't even in the same ball park as Isolates, clones, etc... Maybe... I don't know But id like to find some ranges, averages, and quartiles once I get things going to really see what the difference is by my dial in. just for me if anything)
MS is one of those phenomena that gets classified as beginner, or inferior tek, when in reality..... But hey some people still say hydroponic herb is better too...
How's that for ambiguity.
On a side note, the more spores you start with, the more diverse you're colony will be. When starting a genotypic pool with which to choose phenotypes from, it is best to have as much diversity as possible. Successful multi-spore colonies play a key role in a mycologists study.

This PE6 keeps a poppin. This is the "slowest" to flush and "lowest". 140g wet, 8 days to flush 2. I decided to experiement since I have so little substrate in these and see what happens if I flip this last cake. Will it activate all those bottom pins to grow? Who knows! I'm going to see though:

Also, was prepping more grain last night for inoculation (they're drying overnight in the fridge) and made up some agar nutrients:

Are you thinking of taking any prints CBK? I've been growing KS for the last couple of months, I'd love a stab at the mutes.

This ovoid colony has such an abrupt edge, with a deep range of focus. Slowly changing the focus looks like walking through a winter forest of tree silhouettes. The hyphae look like little trees growing up out of a mesh matrix. Cube hyphae are much longer and more web like like lightning webs. I love to compare and contrast.
This is a range of depths of focus on the same spot, down to the leading edge of cells exploring new media.
