This is what bugs me most when talking to bible thumpers, throw this at them and they get flustered. I have yet to have ANYONE explain how it was OK to do.


No one said it was "OK". It's a very complex theological concept man it's not so easy to explain.

We're talkin a world where evolution has not been figured out. The bibles explanation for humans was of course the Adam and Eve story. How it all starts with two and goes from there. Noahs Ark is also an example of this symbol. In order for this to make sense, well, incest would have to serve a purpose in the early world, to create humanity itself. Afterwhich, it was deemed unnatural and against the word of god. And biblical stories that feature incestual rape further solidify christianity's distaste for incest, and attempt to associate it with degeneracy, sin, and evil. Incest was necessary for the creation of humanity, and through the creation of humanity spawns the creation of society, and social structures, in which close families became more of a sub-community of their community. And sexual relations within that sub-community was detrimental to it, and thus, detrimental to the entire community. So bam, incest bad now, cut it out jesus lovers! They didn't really connect the dots with incest and baby mutants. Really puts some holes in the creation story. Maybe adam and eve looked wayyy different, but we just look like this now because we're all incest mutants. Or maybe ancient desert people didn't actually know how humanity began..

A lot of these “rules” have scientific explainations now so they seem common sense to us and looking back early folk were primative they say but amazingly enough they came to a lot of the same conclusions on what causes trouble without science nigga, they lived it..

So in a world programmed by God, the programing has it that too much incest causes negative issues so apparently God suggests not doing it.  Seems pretty simple to me but men struggle daily..

Yeah. Im sure you know as well as anyone, Christianity is hella misunderstood. It was so popular for so long, that it's just become cool to be atheist. Most of them don't give much thought to it aside from "I don't believe in invisible man in sky, that dumb". But on the flip side, a lot of Christians don't put much thought into it aside from "I DO believe in invisible sky man". Humans will be humans ya kno

I reckon I do my best to avoid the “civilian” side of things when it comes to that, I’m pretty sure I can see both sides of the argument, only because I used to think the same as “bearded sky man” suggesters.  In my mind they do far less damage than the ones who claim to be ‘of the faith’ but speak total ignorant bullshit, but they’re still like a gnat at a fuckin barbeque, just buggin the fuck out of a nigga..

It’s a complicated thing, everyones climbing different speeds, who knows what tomorrow will make us think..:levitate:

I mean just imagine having to write an hour of stand-up, while also having it revolve around two people delivering it. Not only that, but having to make most the jokes themselves revolve around the back and forth gimmick. It's gotta be exhausting, and imo, it shows. A lot of bits seem very lackluster and forced, and it often is because they're trying to make the two-man show work, for a joke that does not require two voices. But I also don't wanna hear twin gimmicks all night. So like I said, it just doesn't work for me. Either way of the spectrum, I find myself going "is this really necessary"? :lol: but im a cynical asshole so what do I kno
