I never heard anyone say it in real life, but I think state health insurance would be good. Some states can have mandates and some not.

I bet Kentucky's solution would be to get rid of healthcare.

The nice part is that there would be 500 states to choose from.

Do you mean if you lived in Mississippi, you could choose California's healthcare?

That one court decision is not going to anything to really undo Obama care and eill never get traction in a place lioe the supreme court. This is why I'm okay with people thinking this is a win for those who don't want Obamacare in the country. It's not but if it makes you feel better I'll never live in Texas so I don't give a shit what y'all do.

That's ehat it sounds like, but how would that work? I don't think he's thought this through.

If people in Kentucky have no health insurance and New Mexico has statewide single payer how could Kentuckians use NM healthcare? They don't pay state taxes in NM, and Kentucky healthcare professionals, not that they would likely have any left, would not have any sort of way to be paid by NMs government. It's already complex enough trying to go to different doctors covered in your insurances network in your own locale under our current system.

I feel like he doesn't like our ideas not because he csn imsgine something better, but because they came from a liberal.

Such a bizarre way to think about things. It’s 50 btw. So inefficient. Duplicating effort in each state.

I believe all of the judges who supported Obamacare still hold their seats in the supreme court, so it's a moot point.

That's probably part of his plan to increase states rights. More states, more rights.

My and Fal's questions which essentially ask, "How would such a system work?"

edit: I also never got a direct answer to what merits you see in a privatized system over a public one if you feel like answering that. The system would be designed by you, so it stands to reason you wouldn't design a corrupt and wasteful system if it were public, so what merits does privatization bring to the table?

That's just an idea.

Another one, which I lean towards, is states making their own healthcare systems or not.

Again, that could leave 50 different options.
