If I ever have a sub that dries up like that,I like to mist it lightly a few times over say a 24 hr period.(maybe once every 6-8 hrs) That way the sub has time to soak up the moisture in between mistings and not get flooded all at once. Or a bottom water could help to re-hydrate the sub without screwing up the surface. Just

Interesting where did you score that coir?
I found some 950 gram blocks on amazon a few days back. I gotta go to the local reptile store here and check their prices on a 3 pack I forget. I'm trying to find the cheapest source for kratom coir, if it's online but shipping is free or not expensive I'm just gonna order online. I need to buy 100 bricks
ahahaha I was so high I put kratom instead of coir earlier oops fixed

Edit: this is what I basically buy at my store and it's like 3 more bucks, 11lbs of coir in 4 slabs, basically the same with the 2.5' cubic feet!

Shit most definitely happened, I totally screwed this batch of containers up lol

I was lazy with the foil around the edges of the lids. I'm pretty sure it sucked in spores after the PC. Either that or my iso use was not good enough since they weren't all totally fucked
I'm pretty sure spores don't just get sucked into plates after the PC. Never had it happen personally.

Not something I'd publicly promote... Then again, I discuss these things with my kids early on... my 14 year old wants to try pot, and mushrooms (eventually) but she understands that her brain is still developing, that it's illegal (which would cause much more trouble for her intended academic career than it'd be worth trying to find and obtain them on her own)... I'm thinking 16 for pot, 18 for mush?(opinions please) I realize waiting longer would be better, but also don't want her to get "inpatient" and do something stupid outside of the house, and my supervision...

So much depends on the individual. At 16 some people are naturally more mentally stable than others. Always hard to teach the lesson that there is a time and place for recreational drugs, and that an occasional good time can quickly turn into a toxic lifestyle. Good luck bro.

First few bags of spawn were a bit fucky in the beginning of this run but thats how it goes sometimes. The second flushes are still nice though. More soon.
