I wanna try out PESH too. I was originally discouraged because i had heard it was a "mislabeled strain blahblahblah" years ago. Now im very curious about it

Clean phone in clean environment seconds before transfer My gloves work nice with my phone and it's liquid proof so it's easy to wipe down and upload pics here. Quick snap then I did transfers but only with the pe/Rw/orissa. I gotta wait on the ksss cause I ran outta plates on the Rw.

I have this beautiful plate of PESA, and I would love to transfer both 6 and 9 o' clock, but I don't quite have enough plates Should I just go for the rhizo? Or should I toss some older plates to make room for both of these beauties?

You can always choose a tomentose spot, and grow that out to reveal more growth patterns. Tomentose is usually lots of strains tightly interwoven. So if you dont like what you see, give that clustered growth a plate to show you what its got

Thanks man! This was the sort of input I was looking for. Nice clarification. I will go for the rhizo then.

This clone is pretty tomentose

But I loved it. Did all my best grows with it. It was never rhizo under any circumstances.

All of mine except for some recent Amazons have come out like this. It makes me a bit nervous / think I'm growing cobweb. Even so I've used your TEK for my agar and everything seems to come out fine after three or so clean transfers and then on to LC.

Put your grains on big paper towels after you boil them. the water soaks up in the paper towels after about 25 min. for me. Then I put a small handful of grains on a napkin to see if they leave any water behind. If their is little to no dark water spots on the napkin you should be good to go.

The first pic is the 3rd flush of in a tub I designed โjocโ tub. It is a self contained FC for low temps, ie garage, shed etc. submerged in a hot water bath and using a hair dryer for air handling (coolest setting blows 78 degree air it maintains fruiting conditions even at a outdoor temp of 30 f (coldest itโs gotten so far) I have a indoor spot and donโt need to run this tub just wanted to test it. Oh the tubing hooks up to the humidifier allowing it to be left alone for extended periods the hose directly above the sub kicks on a few min before the hair dryer with then pushes the mist into the sub counteracting the drying out effect the warm hair would have otherwise

Yeah I wanted to design my own fruiting chamber but itโs hard to improve upon the mono tub at least for that style so I had to give myself a problem to solve so my thinking was younger people that may still be living at home with their parents and only have limited areas or just a way to keep everything out side for those with close invasive families that are always dropping by. they would be able to build this for about 70 bucks and a outlet. Like I said itโs not really a problem I currently am facing but I had to give myself a problem in order to solve one so there you go lol I have noticed that every flush has produced short stems and large caps with the random super tall mushroom here in there they also are all either one of two colors a brown or a light tan.

idk dude, I think you're over complicating it with the hair dryer, humidifier and all that. I ran cakes last winter practically outside in freezing temps with an old school tit(aquarium heater) and flipping the lid like any unmodified tub. That was enough.

Mushies could be small if your humidifier is oversaturating your substrate.
