You likely screwed the pooch opening them... never add water to hydrated grain... the outside can be dry and still have more than enough moisture to sustain full colonization
Start something fresh as these are probably shot

the revived 2012 print. MS > grain > let colonize to ~ %90 > one corner grain to agar > T1 I'll do another transfer and gamble on this semi-isolation.

kinda, it was old spores. and not my print. and when I opened the foil, it was all like dried watercolor on foil (too wet when printed). so wasn't optimistic about it at all.

I got the coir off Amazon after a few people on here recommended it, its eco earth pet bedding. I did the damions coir tek with the bucket.
I feel like I did everything right, even my sterile technique in the SAB. But I do have 4 more colonized jars left that have water standing in them, could that be from my house temps going from 73 to 78 and back throughout the day? Or is it more possible they are contaminated? I think I might just Toss them, pick this next flush on both tubs and toss them too.
Sad thing is, this is the first time I "put all my eggs in one basket" As I normally use buckets instead of 70qt monos.

Case or don't case. This is a BRF to spawn 1:1 coir. Not an intentional grow, more incidental. (I accidentally posted this in confessions, oops. To my defense, It's Friday. I've had 1 or 2 or 10 beers)

Cobweb cultivation, one dropped lid at a time: thankfully it's in a reishi jar and not any of the RW...

Pretty gnarly looking in person
