Can everyone do me a favor?
Apparently some people in some parts of the country are not having problems with the TLG website.
I need some feedback as to who (region of country) is able to get on and who can't.
This is not a ploy to get visitors I promise. This will help me get an exact cause of the problem.
I cannot access the site but others are still placing orders and visiting pages.
What gives?

Boxtop,
It could be your computer... your site works fine for me. You should go to start > run and type "cmd", then type the command: ipconfig /flushdns
this will flush out any cached domain name to ip pairs you have. If that doesn't work, reboot and unplug your modem for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, then your provider could have recently changed the IP to your website and it hasn't refreshed at your ISP's nameserver yet. Give it a few days and see what happens. The site is definately not down... must be a problem on your end.

Hmm, I'm going to try what you said. The thing that leads me to believe it's more than just me is that we were on the phone with Network Solutions and they said it was down too.
Are you guys seeing my avatar? The pics are from my server and I'm not seeing them.

I see your avatar. If your host recently changed the IP, then it's possible that netsol and your name servers have not refreshed. There's an expire time on the cached IP for each host, it would depend on when the last refresh was done. If I never went to your site, or went to your site prior to the cached ip, then it would probably refresh with the new ip immediately. For you, might take some time.
To make sure it's not that for you, before you think it's that and contact your host... do this:
start > run > "notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"
add this line to the bottom of the file and save:
65.61.206.99 tlgexpress.com
then see if it works. if it does, then it's your name server...otherwise, it's your isp.

Ohhh you're trying to use thelittleguy.com I think it's your host's nameserver... TLGEXPRESS.COM goes to: Name Server: DNS5.DOTEASY.COM Name Server: DNS6.DOTEASY.COM while THELITTLEGUY.COM goes to: Name Server: DNS1-H.TUCOWS.COM Name Server: DNS2-H.TUCOWS.COM Name Server: DNS3-H.TUCOWS.COM when I dig the domains, I see nothing for THELITTLEGUY.COM, so my ISP is probably caching the IP and that's why I can view it. ; <<>> DiG 9.2.1 <<>> thelittleguy.com ;; global options: printcmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 12017 ;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 0, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 0 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;thelittleguy.com. Actually, www.thelittleguy.com is the site that's not working for me. It's hosted by Homestead and I'm intent on keeping it there. Are you saying that you are seeing the site because it's in your cache from before? and if you were to clear that cache you would no longer see my site?

Nevermind, my mistake, they have a zone entry for 'www.thelittleguy.com' but not for 'thelittleguy.com', bleh.
can you reach this website: http://209.157.71.50/
it should be a homestead page

and if you do this: start > run > "notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" add this line to the bottom of the file and save: www.thelittleguy.com 209.157.71.50 (edited to show www.thelittleguy.com not thelittleguy.com - force of habit) does it work?

Yes, I reach that just fine. I can access my Homestead account without problems also but my three homestead e-mail accounts aren't working anymore.
If you were to reboot your puter, would you still see my site?

I don't see a file in which to add that?
