Golden Teacher growing slow?
    #25671848 -

Hi all-

I'm growing 24 cakes of golden teacher. They have fanned and misted 3-5 times a day in a 68-71F room. Getting 8 hours of sunlight. and lots of love. It's been exactly 7 days since I have birthed my cakes from the jars. I also grew treasure coast and Ecuador last month and they really sprouted. Nothing about the conditions are different than now. I had at least 1 ounce after two flushes. I can't tell if I'm just being impatient or what but I can't tell if these cakes are going to fruit as much as the last.

Is it normal for golden teachers to take up to two weeks? I've been reading a lot about how people are getting massive flushes after just one week. Maybe I'm just being impatient....

Thanks peeps. much love

Those are some really large jars you used.

Fanning does nothing. Just mist into the air above them, and then mist all 4 sides of the tub.

Cakes have a huge range on time to pin. But most likely you will see pins no later than 13ish days.

Your temp is perfect. Just maintain conditions.

Sweet thanks ya. I figured it might take two weeks but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The jars are actually just a half pint. They're normal size

Why do you have all the perlite covered?  You want as much of it exposed as possible.

What kind of a fruiting chamber is that?  It doesn't look like you put any holes in it.

Everything i say is completely hypothetical...

Oh wow I didn't even notice that it was on perlite. Also your foil is covering like 95% of your perlite right? I see one hole in the picture.

Edit: Can't expect evaporation if you have your humidity contributor completely covered like a blanket

OK yeah I think y'all are right about the perlite not being exposed enough. Sorry my pics were really bad. The chamber has plenty of airflow I think. Here's a better pic. I cut down the tin foil so that more perlite is exposed. From what I'm gathering, I think these babies may just take two weeks.

This is bad information. Sorry man.

Fanning triggers evaporation which In turn triggers pinning.

The “range” on pin time is strain and isolate dependent.

Maintain your conditions

Just gonna calls it like I sees it.

Youhalf assed it seems your FC. how can you expect results at all if you half assed your project brother? Not trying to be rude, just doesn’t look like it was properly built.

Looks like you need a better fruiting chamber. The cakes look decent m. But the fruiting chamber is their home man. Lol they arent crack addicts. They are divine little alien beings that produce superpowers in those that follow the breadcrumbs.

Are you able to remake the FC?

Fanning is myth.  Barely anyone does it anymore including most of the big producers.

I've never fanned once...

Nah I think I'm just going to stick with this chamber. I wish I had pics of my last grow. I live in a hella dry climate so I don't want to have too many holes, but the cakes look healthy and all. They're definitely doing fine. I think just a little slow. It's only been a week since I birthed them. I can upload better pics if you're interested tho

Study those links man. You will thank me later.

On later flushes after a decent misting. I disagree

I'm sorry to burst any bubbles but fanning is totally pointless after misting.
what do you think fanning a freshly misted tub for 10 seconds is doing exactly?
Your not getting any significant evaporation in that amount of time and just the act of taking the lid off to mist significantly lowers the RH anyways.
Get it together guys, too much bad/out of date info being spouted lately...

I haven't fanned a tub in years.

and easy way to do your monos is lift one side of the lid and bounce it up and down not like a retard but ya that way they lid rains down some moistor back on the sub rehydrating it and exhanging all the old stale air out like the wind blew over it then it has to build back up to spec and evaporatin even more :takingnotes: thats how i do it a few times a day
i will fan no matter what :headbang3:
