They are designed to stay on and online 24 7

Anyone ever had any problems? Over heating? Fire hazard?

Of course they fail sometimes. Software crashes, memory failures or plain hardware burnouts. But since they are relatively low-power density devices with no moving parts and a relatively simple architecture, they tend to live long lives.

Ive never heard of them spontanously combusting. They are pretty low power so i dont see that happening.

Its always a good idea to be aware of potential fire hazards and to have a fire extinguisher in your house just in case

Ring.com and Hive all got products that rely on Wi-Fi 24/7  unattended, so imagine it's pretty safe

They are low power so that illiminates catching fire right

Spontaneous combustion no. But a diode or capacitor failing and ruining an integral part of the circuit causing a malfunction. Totally possible.
