It's a lovely photo, but I don't think I can allow it because this image, as you may not have been aware, was originally posted in November and can be found here. We have already had a similar photo from the same collection nominated for the November POTM. There are some very nice Gymnopolis photos from that post though, perhaps you might like to nominate one of those instead?

Yeah it was such a tough pick. I didnt know I could nominate two... I went for the one I did due to the fine resolution of the felted caps, and overall feel of the photo with the mushrooms centered in the foreground and a dark natural background. Glad you came in with these two as well, as they are deserving.

Y'all are pulling photos from a "best of the year" thread.
They are great shots, but it seems a little unfair for december's nominations to be a bunch of pics from this past summer.

It doesn’t matter when the thread was started, but when the photos were first posted. If you’ve seen any of these pics prior to December, provide a link to the original thread and I will disqualify them.
