Earthworm hummus as casing material ...
    #25668397 -

i am doing experiments to grow cubes in the tropics . I want to jump the bulk farming and just try to case jars and little plastic container i have here . Is impossible to find vermiculite.  As i do not find others materials i am using coconut coil but i did an experiment with earthworm humus because i have a lot here ( we farm earthworms ) . Both of them were pastorized for 2 hours at less than 160F . Looks like the hummus is working very very well, better than coconut, because retain a lot of water and stay humid but is less fluffy than coconut ...what do u think ?

It's too muddy. Needs to be fluffed up with something. It's best as an additive if you must, but overall you're not gonna see much improvement.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.

User poison drink has used fresh earth worm castings without pasteurization as a primary sub for pans successfully. you might want to check out his posts to see if that will work for cubes. probably worth a shot.
