Hey  *hugs, if okay*

I read your two posts.  Sorry you're going through a rough time.  Starting new meds is difficult, to say the least.  Just try to have faith in the fact that hopefully the worst of the side-effects will bugger off in a little while.  It's really great that you are able to get the help you need.  Sometimes it can be difficult having the courage to ask for help, but I think it's a fantastic sign that you were able to do that.

I've also accumulated quite an anthology of disorders over the years, but I've stopped thinking of myself in the "term" of a disorder, you know what I mean?  In fact, I haven't seen a mental health doctor in over two years because I became suspicious of their motives.   So it's really fortunate that you were able to find a competant pdoc that you can trust.  The transition period with the meds will be difficult, but just try to keep your chin up.

Good luck and stay safe.

I know exactly how you feel poke. I get the same thing. When i become manic i have nights of trying to sleep but you cant sleep you just get stuck in delusions. When you wake up in the morning you dont even know if you slept the night before.

im curious but what is your diagnosis? Cause im Bipolar I. So im used to hypomania. Ive been through all of those drugs. I took depakote for years. I took a combination of Wellbutrin,Depakote,Risperdone. For many years. I also noticed certain ssri's can cause you to become very manic.

I went practically went insane with Paxil.

Ask your doctor about newer Atypical Anti-Psychotics like Geodon. Im currently on Geodon and it has done miracles for me that depakote and risderdone never did. Not only that but no weight gain.

Depakote is a nasty medication with nasty side effects and i found out that most problems i had with my condition was a result of the medication i was on.

Im currently on Geodon and Doxxepin as my SSRI. The doxxepin helps me go to sleep and the Geodon keeps the depression/mania away.

Every body has different body chemistry so pick the pill that is right for you. Dont stay on the same pills if they are causing harm.

See what medication works best for you. Ive been through so many medications and doctors. From Paxil to Seroquel.
