ok i found kava kava cuttings , and im reciving 5 cuttings next week, but i cant find any good decent info on growing kava kava, i assume its a plant that needs quite some humidity and heat but how much? and what about lights? soil mix? neutrients and so on. any info, urls or other tips would be appriciated greatly
I don't know where you live but generally kava kava is found natively in the moist highlands of the Pacific Islands generally up to 1000 feet above sea level even up there day time temperatures are like 80-90 F. You can grow it outdoors in southern Florida but anywhere else really it requires being in a greenhouse.
For the soil it requires loose, well-drained, rich soil that is watered frequently. Supposedly it does well in rocky virgin soil. If all else fails it makes a good house plant.
