Need to get a cheap porcelain throne to put in the back of the garden, clean, grow some plants around, and throw away all my old tubs/plates in it to see wtf happens. Or something like that. ...is that a toilet with shrooms growing on it? Yes. Don't ask.

I feel like my agar work is regressing...

Did you make your agar softer on the new xfers?
But It can be getting tired of the eating the same nutrients. Try making some brf agar and putting xfers to those.

Them rings in the last pic look like there from the light cycle

I reduced nutrients in all of the plates, which may be why, but JF is also on Transfer #5.. Do you think it looks contaminated or just not enough nutrients with temp fluctuations?

It'll work. I save colonized grain instead of slants. I put some in an empty plate and label.

I'm convinced there's something in my tap water that certain genetic profiles react to adversely.

After prepping a bunch of plates with single drops from the MSS I got from a trusted vendor I got frustrated with the lack of growth over two weeks and took the syringe apart in front of my flow hood and put pieces of the "chunk" on two separate plates this past Sunday. Finally got some growth! Does this look like APE myc growing or is this contam? I've got 4 more syringes in today from a different vendor and I can see lots of little black spots that I did not see in the first syringe. That only had a chunk of something in the middle of it. I'd assumed it was mycelium but maybe it was a contaminated syringe and I didn't realize that?

well that's reassuring. I'm sure I'll have better luck with the syringes I got today. Oh well, lessons learned. I'll give these two another day or so before tossing them.

When you go for T1, speed and uniformity are what you're after for transferring to T2, right? How long say would a "fast" moving section of myc take to become visible? I have plates with tomentose growth on them but I'm not sure if I should let them continue to grow or transfer now... Theyre about 3-4 days old.

I let some grow out all the way but most if i dont see it by 50% ill transfer again or send
