I have a self sterilizing inoculation loop. I made it with a vape mod and rda. I just stretched out a coil leaving one small loop. It heats red hot in a second with no flame

I am excited, it seems like you guys are getting growth on plates in just a few days. My second round of plates are all contaminated but a few finally have growth 11 days after inoculation! I was worried my syringes were all duds. Should I bother with trying to isolate this mycelium or start over? I was using grain wash agar but switched to LME. Almost the whole plate grew this white whispy stuff I originally thought might be whispy myc due to shitty media but is not.

Are both of these large spots mycelium or just the more solid of the two?

One thing I would like to know is if my conditions are to blame. I've moved into an old house that hasn't been staying very warm during the nights, I also keep my plates in a room that gets no direct sunlight. What temperature and light level should I be keeping them around?
Are there any tricks to maintaining proper growth temp in a shitty leaky house for the winter months?

10 days isn't long if you're working with spores, i had galindoi spores take 22days before I seen anything. Wet/soft agar is the key imo, sometimes it just takes them a couple weeks lol, as long as the plates dont contaminate then you can leave them for a while to see what they do.
