Its a woodfired pizza oven/entertaining area more so than a kitchen (which we do have inside the house).

Though we do the pizza prep on the bench.


Here is the raised bed that now has herbs growing to pick and throw straight into the food.

Not so possible if it were inside...:wink:

Looks good and I would chime in with around 10k. I probably would never use it but if you have a family and what not it would serve as a great gathering place.

Its looking good and I appreciate the numbers.

I can do it for about 4 G Aus which we can round too 3 G American with materials and time inc.
So seems to be enough on the bone but time will tell.

Im just trying to get past my friends and family telling me they like it and get some impartial potentially harsh feedback to give me a balanced perspective....turns out the shroomery can do more than shrooms.

It took me a minute to figure out what you meant by reckoning.
You want to know what we think about it..

What's the purpose of having 3 different fire pits?

I would want a raised bed with 360 degree access, the wall seems a little limiting.

Nicely done, the arches are badass.

This is fuckin dope OP! The cement work looks a bit messy but I believe you can clean it up with something? I don't know shit about masonry though.

How many hours approx did this take you to build?

Edit: Also is this work enjoyable to you? I'm a machinist by trade and love working with my hands turning "nothing" into something. But I'm always looking to expand my skill set to things I might enjoy doing, just in case you know

I have given it an acid wash since those photos were taken...bu it's still "rustic" I finished the perps with my fingers when i built it.

Just been doing the rough sums on time though I didnt keep absolute track.
I reckon I can do it in about 10 days.
I did this one on arvos and weekends.

Yes I enjoy building things it's quite fulfilling.
I also enjoy the physicality of it... a great way to stay healthy.

I've recently been performing a job where I dont have to lift a finger....I think its slowly gonna kill me.

Only if we sell the house and make more than we would've otherwise....not planning to sell.

Most of our property tax is collected at time of sale as "Capital Gains Tax" so if I make more at sale I pay more tax...as it stands no authorities know about it.
So no increased cost.

Yep.

We also pay "rates" annually based of the Average house price of our immediate area.
