Hey everybody, I'm making an Amazon list of things to make my music studio more aesthetically pleasing so I feel more comfortable just hanging out in there. I'm going for this sort of theme:



I need some other ideas, though, at the moment. I'd love to see other people's spaces, so post 'em in here! 😎

Get one of those glass orb things that shoots out electricity to your finger when you touch it! Maybe a lava lamp or two? A projecter you can play videos real big on the wall. Laser show thing? Himalayan rock salt lamp. Just some ideas

So far I have a projector, surround sound speakers, pc, and all my music equipment in there. On my list I have an inflatable couch/bed, lava lamp, salt rock lamp 😂 , two big soft king sized blankets, dimmable rgb string lights, a couple nice big wall tapestries, a couple light strips, and an "ocean wave projector lamp".

I never thought of those little lightning orb things 🤔 I'll add one to my list, thanks!

It is! I'm a huge fan of anything in the outrun and vaporwave styles (music, movies, art) and will probably make that my room theme. Haven't finalized anything on my list yet still deciding.

My first apartment had roughly 10ft ceilings.  I had art all over the walls, number of tapestries.  A neighbor I lived in down the hall, before I got my place had all sorts of his art.

We were not rich so a lot came from my time at a thrift store.

Nothing trippy about my place now.  Although the thing about a good trip, is anything can become quite dynamic.  Even dirt on a window, becomes a stained glass masterpiece.

i hope these changes dont distract you from your creative flow and instead give inspiration.

for my trip room I have been working on a 4 hour playlist of trippy music videos to put on the big tv and Im up to about 2 hours already!

Yeah it's for inspiration! I have most of the things I'd like already in a list. I just thought I'd see what others have done and maybe get a few good ideas!

sure, why not?  It's the first week of solid freeze and all the mushrooms are going away.

I do get wigged out by flatlands, I will say.  I grew up in the hills and I'm used to thick rain forest cover or alpine conifer forest.  As soon as it's flat (relatively, I know it's corduroy in texture) I loose my ability to judge distance and get disoriented.

Those purple lighted rooms with all the neon and glow in the dark shit always made me want to fucking die. I just like tapestries lol. Nice tapestries with paintings on em and shit, drape em over the window so that the sun shines through them and creates a nice glow.

Not quite sure what you're trying to say. I know "the wave" is a painting and it's consistently used in vaporwave art. All the artist did was blend two different pictures, but I like the look of it.

Any ideas other than what was listed? I remember seeing a site that had really cool lamps made for this specific purpose. They had tapestries as well. Can't remember the name of it, though.

If you’re looking for wall hangings in the “outrun” theme, try the artist James White (aka Signalnoise).  He practically pioneered it as a modern aesthetic.  Also, try art by Sam Todhunter.

More lights are in the mix but it gets a little over the top. I think i'm getting a dmx so i can try to make some kind of program for the other lights and music and just be able to set it up and just chill.






Not what i listen to typically, uploaded from phone and couldn't figure out things.

Really cool, I dig it! No volume atm so no clue what tunes you have going. I like the loft bed + couch underneath combo you have going as well as the poster/painting + blacklight and paint for it. I can see how a bunch of lights could get overwhelming so I'm thinking of going for less flashy stuff and more warm whites.
