Post Your Southeast Cubensis Findings

Well there seems to be a TON of threads asking something aloing the lines of "Hey, you guys find any cubes in yet?" Technicaly these threads should be locked under the "don't ask if current weather is good for mushrooms" rule. But! To make you guys happy I'm going to make this thread for ya. If you've found Psilocybe cubensis in the southeast or along the Gulf coast, tell us here. This way people can just check and see if people have been finding stuff in their area. Make sure to keep us updated on your finds! Let the reports begin... EDIT: You'll notice that I've deleted quite a few posts. These posts mainly consisted of: "wahhh there's no rain here" "ITS GONNA RAIN!" "i haven't found anything" "are there any cubes in X location" congrats for finds. I've left all threads with meaningful content. PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THIS THREAD UNLESS YOU ARE REPORTING FINDINGS. If you post something other than a finding report, it will be deleted without warning.

I know their out in North Florida. I havn't personaly found any but my friends have come back with some. I personally have more of a problem of finding the cows/cow pies, in the part of the field I'm allowed to be in. So I am guessing that the farmer moved his cows to another part of the pasture for the winter. Last summer/fall I had incredable luck in this field, usually finding more than I could pick, this year I've found plenty of mushrooms, just not the proper kind.

Hey- Well, I just went on my first ever hunt this afternoon on field in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Lotsa cows, lotsa cow poo, very few mushrrooms. After about an hour scouring the fields, we ended up with two small dry kinda shriveld Cubensis. (I think they're Cubes, they were pretty dried out, but the stems turned kinda blue and the vail was black.) I'll take a spore print tomorrow and get a few pics if anyone cares.
I dont know what I'm going to do with them, two shrooms wouldn't do a thing to eat them. I am thinking of possibly setting up a small grow in my backroom and using the sporeprints. I am a little disapointed with our trip, but I guess I'm kind of excited that we found any at all! Not sure why there weren't more. 2 sunny days after heavy rain... oh well, better luck next time!
