Re: Might be getting back into this hobby after decade absence. What has changed in 10 years? [Re: nube424]

I guess I am in the same boat as all you senior citizens. Back in the day I would just hop in the car and drive 15 minutes to any cowfield and come out with a bag full of shroomies. Cultivating them seemed like tripping with extra steps. I did some edibles for a time but without the sterile techniques we use now and lots of fly problems I eventually gave it up. Some months ago a junkie sold me an electric all american sterilizer for 10 bucks, it "didnt work", I replaced the switch and good to go!  Now I drive to the cowfields decided to go pick only to overthink everything and puss out đŸ˜‚ so I'm back in the hobby for good. I have around 20 jars of blue and phoenix oysters colonizing at the moment. Will try King Oysters again but it may be too hot here for them and some more other good stuff here and there.

As soon as the rainy season starts I'm on the hunt for some potent Panaeolus for sure! I also want to check some farms near another farm where I used to get some legendary quality cubes. Lets see.

Just got back myself last grow was end of 2015. It's like riding a bike. I started jars early February already got the dehydrator running as of last night. Spawn to bulk right into fruiting 10-14 days later you got pins can't get any simpler.

Great thread to read for someone who is barely getting back to growing after 15+ years. Ive spent the past few days spending countless hours reading different TEKs and methods on here, learning so many new tips and tricks. I havent grown since my late teen years. Mind is still blown about spawning to the fruit chamber, 12/12 light schedule, CVG bulk, etc. Im in the midst of creating a climate controlled clean room and fruiting chamber, just over 300sq ft to dedicate to my post divorce hobby lol best of luck to everyone! Im just going to be doing unmodified 66q monotubs, maybe 10-15 to start, from oats/cvg using LC(clean source). Im aware of the all work needed, but I finally have the time to do it.
