$9 handles (1.75 liter) vodka...whatever light beer is on sale for the cheapest. i've encountered PABST for $4 a 12 pack...that was a good day. 40oz'ers for $2ish. getting piss drunk is the same in the end so why pay more if you're broke like me?

exactly, cheap vodka + cool aid= gheeto beer... does the same effect, lasts just as long, why pay 3$ for a house brew. Well, that is not to say I do not enjoy 'fine liqour'

4$ for a liter of tequila is what i used to drink.
I drink cheap. My favourite beer, tuborg, sells for a wopping $1.40 here in Norway, thats really cheap for Norway. When I go for liquor that I like I'd have to pay around $53 for 0.75 litres... if thats not much i dont know what is, but you have to pay a price like that for most liquors here in Norway. I go for the cheapest wines though, dont even think about getting an expensive one.
One day I will order tequila with a worm inside, thats probably going to be expensive!

Tequila with the worm is the cheapest shit you can buy in Mexico..
You can buy fantastic Tequilas there for about 25-40$$ Some of those Tequilas go for 80-150$$ here in Texas

The beer I buy is red dog. Its like 10-12 bucks a case and it gets you fucked up.It doesnt even say the alcohal content on the cans or box. And at the bar I go to they have pabst for 3.50 a picher.
And if i drink liquor it is usally bourbon and coke. Either aincient age or even williams.
So yes i am a cheap drinker.
fourtys sometimes bu t not often. Only when im really broke.

i guess i will sound like a snob, but here goes. i only drink imports and microbrews (NOT heineken either, heineken is shit). usually runs between 9-14 bucks for a six pack, or, i usually buy singles for anywhere from 1,20 to 2,50, which is totally worth it since 1) it actually tastes GOOD, has tonnes of nuance and flavour characteristics and 2) stuff i get is always at *least* 4-5% ABV, often between 8-12, so one pint over an hour will get you a nice buzz if you haven't just stuffed yourself for dinner. anyways, i never drink more than 1 beer (rarely i will have 2, if i am at a friends or a party or something for a longer while), so it's not like i need 30 of them to have a "fun night". i reccomend you try a good beer at least at some point in your life, you you regularly drink the things that people are posting in this trhead, then you can at least see what beer CAN and SHOULD be. i'm not saying cheap beer is no good, just that i don't drink it, and if you enjoy it, that's great. just give the other stuff a try. and to the fella with the blue moon, i'm sure you know about beer, though a real nice example of the wheat style is Ayinger Hefe-weizen, good shit, you would like it, i bet
