Yeah, actual trans representation in gaming is kind of hit or miss
think it stems from cultural ideas about gender identity and such in Japan

Gwyndolin is prolly my favourite gaming trans hero

From is sort of neat about putting in cultural references like that

am also a big fan of how Senpou Temple in Sekiro reflects the real-world Shingon tradition
wherein Kukai, the originator of the tradition, is said to have brought back a secret tradition of Buddhism from China
then attained immortality and sat in meditation in a cave at the heart of the mountain temple he built
and will supposedly wake up again in the future as the Maitreya Buddha

Also the frequent use of Jizo statues

Yeah, there's a couple things from buddism and shinto in there I wouldn't want to spoil, mainly the hidden fantasy areas

As someone who has spent a couple years now coming out to my therapist, receiving mental health supports for transitioning,
and reaching a point where multiple therapists agree that gaming is a relatively healthy way for me to cope with gender dysphoria

feel like my next appointment may be a rollercoaster to get through
