No referrals or other link spam, just, are you into some kind of LEGAL lucerative trade thats straightforward enough that Shroomerites with a bit of effort could get into without getting in the way of your business?

Let it be things that arent dependent on specific companies, MLM, referrals or that stuff.

None of that stuff.

Gold did its thing - we were on it
Crypto did its thing - we rode that bullmarket to town

Where's the coin for you, now?



My dad and stepmom actually made thousands making strategic buys of good stuff at fleamarkets, and selling it at auction shops, where people often pay next to new prices for second hand stuff.

I used to grow cannabis which my dad has taken over and I use the excess trim/bud to make edible oil. I make tootsie rolls 100-500mg depending and sell them to my friends for cheap asf compared to what they pay where they live for similar product

I slaughter and butcher livestock and game for friends and family.

I make a little scratch, and my freezer is full of wild and homegrown meat.

I'm saving up to get better charcuterie equip and a nice smoker.  I plan on making more money by home curing meats/hams/sausages for friends.

I'm kind of into collecting guitars although I haven't bought one in about a year. But good profit can be made in reselling certain guitars.

Specifically, Ibanez guitars that were made in Japan can be found in the 300-400 range and sold for about $600 depending on the condition. You can tell a Japanese Ibanez by a serial number that starts with f which is short for fujigen, the factory they are made in. These guitars can be found on Craigslist every once in a while or pawn shops. The late 2000s guitars that are mij say "prestige" on the headstock which usually go for 600 and up. But the 80s to mid 2000s don't have this marking and as a result, many sellers don't know that it's a top of the line sought after guitar.

It's not really that lucrative, but it's a fun hobby especially if you like those old Ibanez guitars.

There was a story, a week or so ago now, about the illegal foraging of wild mushrooms, namely a lion's mane, that was allegedly stolen from the New Forest. They apparently sell for £28 a Kilo.

It even made it onto the radio 2 phone-in with Jeremy Vine. (starts ~7:40)

A couple of weeks back the were discussing the use of Psilocybin (starts ~1:09:00) in the treatment of depression.

It doesn't get much more mainstream.

I'd be interested in any feedback as to wether you can listen to these programmes via these link.

Dammit... I had a MASSIVE box of cards from 4th Edition all the way up through Lorwyn. Still have the box, but a lot was lost due to damage from flooding. I should probably dig through and salvage what I can. Thankfully most foils and rares were in a binder and spared, but is there someplace I can cross-reference current market prices and highly sought after older cards? Any specific highly sought commons/uncommons I should be on the lookout for?

Right now I am welding full time. Not employed, but as a contractor. Most metals, brass, steel and alum. I am becoming more valuble with it now as I can do teeny tiny super careful detail welding of almost any specialty metal. It can pay up to $100 per hour, $1000 per day is doable with a truck mounted welding assembly, which we can finance with our good credit score and proof of income. I don't quite make those numbers consistently yet but the business is out there

Theres welding needed everywhere every day just like plumbing. Except there's not many welders. You can learn without ever going to highschool to begin with. You just need to find the right people and befriend them, show very interest, desire to learn and be a rare type of skilled. It's easy for anyone! Unless you have Parkinsons disease. It might not work out then

Counterfeiters suck, they mostly target newer cards because older cards are basically impossible to fake. Mostly what we deal with is people rebacking old collectors/international edition cards but if you know what you’re going doing even those can be easy to spot, sometimes the glue job is bad but it’s always missing the true core and will fail a bend test. Long story short, the only people really getting hurt by counterfeiters are you average players that don’t know any better and not the scumbag investors like myself. Super lame.

Does the value of the magic cards have anything to do with the way they are "played " in a "game" (never played magic)

Reserve list cards are the most expensive and investable out there because they were printed 25 years ago and are part of a list that Wizards of the Coast has agreed to never print again. The reserve list includes many cards, some are more playable than others and therefore cost more. Cards outside the reserve list rarely reach much beyond $100 a card because reprints kill value of the cards as tens of thousands are hitting the market. Most collectors agree there are only 500-600 cards still existing in the world of any given alpha/ beta rare making them highly sought after and investable even though many are illegal to play with anymore. In fact, the most expensive card out there, Black Lotus, is banned in all formats people actually play, it’s just iconic for being the best card ever printed, even if you can’t play it.

Do people still compete at magic?

I mean is there some rich jerkoff buying all the best cards and whooping tournaments asses?

I really have no idea and I'll end up looking it up on my own but I'm with you if it's a hustle that makes money

I had friends that played 25 years ago for sure I remember going to card shops around the time South park came out (I was young) and they were selling "collectors" magic cards even then

You can buy a $5000 deck and lose to a $16 it just depends what you want to play.

People still compete at magic all he time, we have pro tours, worlds, and Grand Prix.
The three major competitive formats are standard, modern, and legacy.
Average standard deck costs $200-300 but rotates after two years
Average modern deck costs $1500-$2000, never rotates but depreciates value due to reprints.
Average Legacy deck costs $3000-$5000, never rotates and always increases in value do to secondary market investing.
The difference in formats comes what era of cards are allowed and provent someone like me from sitting down across the table from some kid who just bought a $20 and making them hate their life.

But at the end of the day, if you’re playing magic, you’re going to be spending a lot of money, everyone does so it’s not like anyone can buy an advantage became everyone is buying in.

In all honesty I can see how someone could use their body to make money and come out unscathed mentally, I'm not one of them

I would do without and maybe even die before I committed certain acts, especially criminal (which you said not to include)

I totally forgot I owned a webshop selling Baja Hoodies :lol:

I imported from mexico and sold in Europe. Made a couple €k profit per year.

Quit the shop a few months back cause I need less things in my life.

Traded my leftover inventory for a new surfboard

Ran the shop for 3 years. Whenever I forgot to close the shop for travels and whatnot I sold the most :facepalm:
