Dehydrator question <3
    #25644234 -

Hey all,

This is my first harvest, and first time drying using a dehydrator.

My question is, how long do I need to dry my mushies? They’re currently on 95f temperature. Is this correct?

Thanks lovelies <3 xxx

I'd crank it up to 140-165 and let it ride for 6-8 hours and check. You want them to "snap" and "crack" when dry. Cracker dry as people call it.

Depends on the size of the fruits. I run mine at 140 degrees fahrenheit. I have varying fruit sizes. I'm using a 6 tray Weston dehydrator. I dry mine in approximately 6-8 hours. I hope this helps. Just monitor all the hard work you just put in. You shouldn't have any bend with your fruits, they should just snap.

Thanks guys! The sizes of them vary from a couple inches to 3/4 of my hand. I’ve cranked the dehydrater up to 140F and will monitor they’re progress!

Will look our for the cracking at 6 hours and see how I go. Exciting times! Xxx

I dry for 24 hours regardless of fruit size. No such thing as over drying, but underdrying is a huge problem. Also fruits can appear to be cracker dry before they actually are, when put under heat. If this happens, they'll be bendy within a month or 2.
