I keep track of everything. The wet:dry ratio for variety/tub is to have reliable metrics to plug into my yield estimates. When I enter a tub into my spreadsheet, I get estimated date/yield on flushes, and quarts of spawn, tub size, and clone used all factor into it. It's pretty useful.
Would it be possible for you to share the spread sheet? Even delete all your info first or something if you wanted to? And just share the file with all the calculations and rows and what not ready? I'm inept at excel but that looks awesome.

When buying LME is it ok to use "spraymalt" LME? And does "dry" LME just mean it's powder rather than liquid? Sorry for the dumb question, I'm asking for a friend and he don't know shit about it

Powdered malt extract is better than liquid. Easier to weigh out a powder than a syrup.

Thatโs what I thought. Glad itโs finally starting to look more like myc!๐. That is a T4 P. Caerulescens clone that started out looking like this.

Started having more of a mycelial formation by T3:

Good to be getting to something that looks more like myc! Grows a lot faster than starting from print also.
This is a T5 P. Caerulescens from print that was transferred on the same day.

Thanks!
@ComebackKid you had it right on my RH clone. May take a few transfers to get it to look more like regular myc but Iโm confident it will๐๐ผ. Bod had gave me the same advice on my PCS clone that started off the same way.
Thanks guys!

bodhisatta said: Archaea the new word of the day or something? If you know they're archaea and not bacteria please post how exactly you came to find that out lol...
I made some WL-Tek (general), which doesn't infect easily (no soluble carbon), and used about 4g of liquid seaweed with the mixture (more macro-micro's). The mixture was sterilized like grain, it was intended to be used as spawn. I transferred a clean wedge and ended up with additional organisms.
I later transferred a peg to plain WL-Tek (no soluble carbon), but it does contain ammonia and sulphur (read more on archaea). There was a brown ring forming around the peg, which is not normal for mycelium, it was also too far in front.
Transfer to T-Gel made it show it's face a lot more. Either way the organism came from seaweed.
----
In another test I did WL-Tek (general), with added liquid seaweed and 10% tea leaves. After 3 days I ended up with 4 areas with prolific mold growth (from spores).
In this case it was pasteurized, and assembled open to air.

That information is now out of date, archaea is everywhere in various forms (inside you, in water, so on).

@Brain Bulb (Caerulescens)
Looking better, seems you are managing to transfer away from the invader. Might need a few more transfers, it's starting to look more normal.
Keep your eye out for any discoloration. Hopefully T6-7.

Neither of those things are 100% clean and sterile are 2 different things. And some spawn leaves hella myc on the glass

Kinda need a flowhood for bags. Gotta build said flowhood. Some people kick ass with a couple hundred jars.

This time, I used my BernzOmatic to smooth edges around the arm-holes.
It's a 50 gallon tote. The table it's on is 48"x24".

SpitballJedi said: I forgot to mention I added a piece of plexiglass for clear viewing. It's 8"x10" and I think 1/8" thick. About $3 at Lowe's, pre-cut. They have different sizes pre-cut for pretty cheap. It's just duct-tapped on.

FrankHorrigan said: Filter bags are pretty tall in general. You are going to have a tough time keeping things clean if you are constantly bumping the lid of the SAB while you are working with the bags. You need to have some headspace in your work area. A very tall SAB, a flowhood, or something similar will work.
I use a still air box with the lid off, set up inside of a 3'x3'x6' grow tent (thanks to slapphappypill for the idea!) It is essentially a draft-free area, and I can inoculate my bags very easily without the lid on my SAB. I don't close myself inside, I work with the door open and my chair halfway inside.
