JFK Assassination Day - November 22, 1963

Yesterday marked the 55th year since the assassination on president John F. Kennedy. I just wanted to observe it and also to take a look at where we are 10 Presidents later.
I think he was a good man. He certainly was not without faults but I shared his vision for America. Whatever his faults, they weren’t enough to be gunned down in the street next to your wife.
Have a Good Friday and I wish you all the best.

It is badass, but only if you mean for it to be. The way Huxley did it, yeah, that was crazy and awesome and poetic. A guy at my college died tripping on acid when he fell out of a window that was many stories up. That was just unfortunate.

I wasn’t there, but I believe his friends told the investigators that it was an accidental fall. But who knows?

He was in terrible pain from cancer. His wife Laura twice injected him with "100 Gamma," (mcg) to help him dissociate from the pain. He was a pioneer to the end.

This X marks the kill spot. I took this pic myself when I was on Elm Street in Dallas a few Octobers ago. It is about midway between the Book Depository (now a museum) and 'the grassy knoll.' I remember the day well, I was 10 and in reading group when Principal Grover came by every classroom to tell us that the President had been shot. He returned a while later, with tears in his eyes (and he was a tough man) to inform each class that JFK was dead. Damned if our 5th grade teacher didn't just continue with our reading group.

If I heard the same announcement about Trump, I'd buy fireworks and celebrate even if it got me a summons from Metro Police in Miami.
