Anyone ever broken a multi-day fast with a psychedelic before?

Every new years I like to do some sort of brain-resetting venture.

Ive always found fasting to be an awesome experience, but never used any substances during/after.

I have 3g equivalent of psilocybin eth extract mixed into about a teaspoon of honey. I plan on taking it with a very light but nutrient/vitamin rich smoothie(with a small amount of fish oil and protein powder), re-nourish my mind and body so to speak. Id be dosing in silent darkness on the morning of day 4.

Just curious if anyone's tried anything similar. I definitely wouldnt suggest it to someone inexperienced... better to have all your strength and energy. Im fairly experienced with both fasting and psychedelics, and the more Ive thought about it the better it sounds. I almost feel like I should lower the dose though.

That sounds amazing.
Real potential for mind and body healing.
I feel like the fasting would put you into a clear mindstate where it will be easier to receive the psilocybin message.
I need to try this.

You should try it, it's kind of like tripping.
Horrible at first, but then blissful and spiritually rewarding.
There's a reason most religions have some sort of fast ritual.
Guess it's the next best thing when people are told drugs makes god send you to hell.

It really clears your system out, my theory is that because your body is not constantly working on digesting food it can take time to fix all the other shit.

Even OMAD has a great effect and try to do it as much as possible.

My idea of fasting is skipping breakfast.
I personally dislike tripping Hungry makes me more prone to get upset stomach and then I feel more run down the next day I only tried it once years ago after listening to McKenna say to take 5g on an empty stomach in silent darkness, I don't feel the trip was more intense it just made me focus on my body.

Same here, I dont eat 4500 calories and spend 5 days in the gym for nothing Haha. I enjoy the dopamine rush after lifting way more than starving but to each their own :shrug:.

Definately interested in the post fast trip report so make sure you keep us updated.

I'm not religious at all, but it doesn't stop me from taking good bits from it.

I think you guys have some misconceptions about fasting, it's not starving yourself and it will have no effect on muscle mass, unless you are currently working out. If you are not all it does is trim fat.

The way I do it is I just say I won't eat while the sun is up, so I wake up really early to eat and then eat a massive meal when the sun goes down.

Try it sometime, you might be surprised at the extreme mental clarity and balance it provides.

I'm working out almost everyday. If I skip only one meal I'll feel the effects in the gym, let alone after fasting :lol: I have really low % of body fat. I always try to eat as much as I can :lol:

I always fast the day before, at most I would eat 2 of those blended up fruit pouches that contains like bananas, raspberry and blueberry and have a few cups of tea.

Then the day of consumption I would only drink water until after the experience.

Those blended up fruit pouches are really amazing for after MDMA too, I do not use MDMA often but when I do can't bring my self to eat anything for at least like 12 hours after coming down. Those blended fruit pouches though are super easy to consume and are packed with vitamins.

Yes, it's very powerful when combined with entheogens. You will be that much closer to the spirit/teacher within the medicine, as you are closer to your self during a fast.

Fasting by itself is awesome, I'd like to try a week sometime soon.

Interested in the results as well.

The days I eat mushrooms I fast all day, well not really a fast cos I juice veggies/fruits and then have a nice big dinner.

never tried breaking a fast with tripping before, though i've fasted before, once up to 17 days. after the first couple days it's pretty easy, but i've never felt this "spiritual" thing with it. generally i just feel a bit more tired than usual and drinking water makes me want to scream because i want to taste SOMETHING, anything.

This is a fantastic idea and I have no doubt you'll reap great rewards from your journey. Based on my fasting/journeying experience, you'll probably experience a 5g level trip with this combo.

Your senses will already be so sensitive.. it's going to be awesome! Keep us posted

Closest I've done is a 24 hour fast on a 12g dose

Happy trqils man. I plan to fast tomorrow,  wouldn't be surprised if I wind up dosing mushrooms soon myself over this Thanksgiving break

Did anyone try this and return? Seems like an awful idea unless your mind can handle it. Seems like something to work up to instead of diving in.

I did it, I don't think it was right after this thread because I remember doing tea and not honey. It was 6 years ago so I could be wrong :shrug2:

I'd say the potency felt close to doubled, it was incredibly intense. The fast was at least 2 days, possibly 3
