It's getting COLD

Cold snaps here on the south Western coast. It got down to near freezing. My tub has been in the 50s to low 60s and have placed a heating source about an hour ago. It's up to 63 and it was at 50. My house is cold.
Any good heating teks I should investigate.

Get a bigger tub than yours and fill it 1/3 full of water and put an aquarium heater in bottom of it then float your tub in it...I've done it and it works and have seen others do it. It's not a dry heat that way

I like the oil radiator type space heaters.Just having one in the room will raise the temp enough for them.

Heating the room is better than heating just the tub. If you only heat the tub you'll lose a lot more moisture due to warm air carrying water from the tub which condenses outside the tub in the colder temperatures. And with warm temperatures with condensation contaminants are going to have a field day.
55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit will still work, albeit slower.

Yeah, the grow has gone to a crawl. I'll just look for something inexpensive to heat the room. I might need to move locations. Thanks guys

Same! My radiator space heater does the job perfect. I keep it on a low setting all the time and it keeps the room around 70 degrees even though its getting very cold out here. They don't blow dry heat that will dry out your tubs...just radiant heat. I also agree that its better to heat the room than to heat the tub directly.

My room is the only one that has no vents so it stays about 10 lower than the rest of the house, I just keep a electric heater set on 70 facing away from my tubs. Thinking of just leaving the door open other wise the electric company is like,,,
