First try at bulk.

I've done a few pf tek grows in the past but want to get a bulk project going. Would it be best to go MS to grain, then g2g 1 or 2 clean jars to get spawn for the rest of the project or just inoculate every grain jar with a MS syringe?
I know most people will say to start with agar and I was planning on taking a few clones from an early, fast fruiting cluster for subsequent projects. Just don't want to isolate a substrain that isn't a good fruiter.

If you already gonna make a syringe, why wait? just use the syringe on all the jars and thats it

G2G from multispore is risky. You are supposed to transfer from agar to get clean myc that can be g2ged. But it can work.
Multi spore to grain usually works for me though, I just don't g2g those...

If going MS to grain which lid design would be optimal? A hole stuffed with polyfill for GE but what about inoculation? Another hole filled with rtv silicone? or is that information outdated?

If you're going to make lids I suggest making your own SFD's on plastic Ball ilds. Buy full size SFD's and cut them to size like this.
You'll never make lids again until you need more.
And yes, start agar. It's easier than it reads and it's one of the most rewarding parts of this hobby.

I stopped using filtered lids long ago and so far never had issues with colonization.
Unmodified lids look nicer IMO and I don't have to worry about filter malfunction or getting the filter wet when I shake wet stuff inside jars like BLI or LC.
I'm NOT recommending unmodified lids to anyone cause that might provoke reactions and facepalms from members. All I'm saying is that I personally use unmodified lids and so far I'm having success with A2G and BLI

JK Mateah I still use unmodified lids sometimes but when I get a contam I blame that lid (undeserving or not). On slow boring days with nothing to do I mod lids.

I like the looks of that lid design but how would I inject spores from a syringe? Just crack the jar in the SAB? I'm really putting thought into starting straight from agar instead of MS to grain. Just worried about putting time into getting clean cultures and inadvertently isolating a low potency strain or something that doesn't fruit prolifically.

The likelihood of you isolating anything after one or two transfers from agar is much less than your likelihood of contamination inoculating spores to grain.
If you rally want injection ports you make them the same way in the same lid with self healing injection ports. I've made many of mine with SHIP's so I can use any free jars I have for LC if I need to.
