Polyfil question.

I've been reading through some monotube teks, but I'm unsure what 'polyfil' is or where to get it. I'm in the UK and we have a product called 'Polyfilla' but I don't think that's it, that is like a resin type product for filling holes in plasterboard (which I believe you call sheetrock in the US). 'Polyfil' looks more like the polyester fibres that they use to fill pillows. So can I just buy a polyester pillow, open it up, and use that stuff?

You can get it at craft stores. Not sure where else. Cheaper than buying a pillow though

Can't think of any craft stores nearby. We used to have a huge hardware store nearby (B&Q) where if you couldn't find it there, you wouldn't find it anywhere, but it's closed now unfortunately. We still have some smaller stores where they sell home décor, like paint, wallpaper, fabrics, curtains and bed coverings, that sort of thing, I wonder if I would find it there? But pillows are relatively cheap, and I'm sure the difference in price wouldn't be that great that it would be worth my time and fuel to go out of town to get the genuine article, so I don't mind using a substitute if available.

We don't have Walmart here, though I think ASDA is owned by Walmart and it's more or less the same thing, but I'm not sure if they have a craft isle, although I'm sure they will have cheap pillows, so I'll check it out. Thanks you.

I just found this video of a guy using micropore tape instead of polyfil, it seems a lot handier and more controllable than polyfil, plus I already have micropore tape. I just wonder do you guys have any criticisms of this technique, but I guess if it floats it's a boat, right? After all, it seems to work for this guy.
