Only as strange as me reading that whole post.
The way people get off varies wildly I'd say you're pretty close to the centre in reality.
If there is a centre at all that is.

Absolutely, you have your own preferences and there's nothing wrong with that. Moreover, your preferences may expand and evolve over time, so don't worry too much at present with "being stuck" with what you've got (which I find perfectly alright to begin with).
