Man I don't normally get it but I've had bad insomnia past three nights. ~3 hours a night. Probably recovering from jetlag still; it normally sticks with me for about two weeks. Total fucking zombie today, keep nodding off.

I have soooooooo much sympathy for people that deal with it often.

There's very little in the world more frustrating to me than wanting to sleep but being unable to.

Does Mrs. Burke get dragged in to watch him too?

She watches him plenty, but I usually do it in the night.  I handle sleeplessness much better than she does.

There was a shooting while I was at the mall this evening. Some dude was shot in his car in the parking lot, and he ended up crashing into the front of dicks. I didn’t hear the shooting, but I felt the car hitting the building.

That sucks about your sleep schedule Burke. Im guessing u cant sleep cause your kids wake u up all the time? 

Whats strange is Ive been sleeping a lot lately, longer than usual. Really good dreams too. I think its from working 12-14hour shifts. Its easy work but staying up that long is intense.

Yes and no.  I’ve been a lifelong insomniac, so I usually only sleep a few hours.  Sometimes not even at all.  But it’s not uncommon for my 4 year old to get me up when I have finally fallen asleep.  I don’t blame him, he’s only a little kid and he needs me for a lot of stuff.  The issue with that is that it’s frequently impossible for me to fall back asleep for hours.  So I’ll have nights like last night where I sleep from 1:30ish until 2:45, and then 5ish until 6, and then 6:30-8.  So it’s like 3.5 hours of sleep, all broken up.  I usually do a bit better than that, but it’s not rare to have nights like it.

Edit: I’m not complaining though.  I only brought it up because I thought the story about my kid waking me up to watch him sleep was funny.  Insomnia sucks, but I’m kinda at a point where idgaf about sleeping or not.

American in general has pretty poor sleeping habits, which is a shame.

But if u can deal with it, then more power to ya.

When im in a situation where i cant sleep enough, i get pretty sick.
