When You See That Too-White Mycelium
    #25624596 - 11/19/18 06:08 AM (6 years, 1 month ago)

So,  everyone's habits, rituals, and recommendations when spotting contamination in an early stage?
(OTHER than, "Toss it and start again.." which yes..if it's bad.. toss it. But I'm talking EARRLLYY stages - during Fruiting phase)

it would be good to know the do's and dont's when dealing with the - initially - minor contamination..

Take this as a scenario:

Scenario: You finish up your last Mist, fan, or  mist+fan for the evening and go to sleep. The next morning, you wake up and there is a - right in the corner - super white & sweet smelling patch of m mycelium. Shit.  So you take out a super white intensity factor-11 light and magnifying glass to see where else the contamination is - but to your surprise: no out spot is (visually) contaminated.

Here's what I was thinking...

Drop the temps
Reduce misting or stop all together
Fanning......???? Don't what to spread.. But  don't want no far/ stale air either...

Cheers!
