afoaf has some pfcakes that started pinning in the tub in tub incubator before the mycillium fully met up and fully colonised on the bottoms of his jars leaving tiny amounts of substrate seemingly stalled?? should he birth em or keep incubating til fulll complete coloniisation?

He sometimes get pins when the bottom of his cakes stall. When that happens, he usually pulls out his little radioshack pocket torch and burns away the uncolonized areas, then fruits normally.

It all depends on how much is uncolonized, and how much you value the in vitro pinset.

If it's a small spot you can just use a heated nail and burn the substrate sort of like Derek said. Now if it's a really small spot flip the jars over and give it a chance and see what happens, Oh yeah make sure the holes are unblocked or the tape is off them. (I'm assuming you already did this but I have to throw some ideas at ya since I can't see whats up).

Now you have to be careful if you by any chance decide to cut off the part. What people often find is uncolonized bottoms of cakes lead to uncolonized centers of the cake when cut so be careful. (Like I said I have to throw ideas at ya).
